This was an entry for haikuworld's May kukai in the Free Format category. The theme was "Umbrella".

It managed to get a total of...one ( 1 ) point. :)

tombstone

The theme or phrase in Haikuworld's September 2008 kukai in the Free Format section was "any type of Rock or Stone".

This was the entry I submitted. It attracted a total of ... 2 votes. Oh well, better luck next try. :)

1908

This was supposed to be an entry for haikuworld's June Kukai in the Free Format category. The theme was "SECRETS". Before I knew it, it was past the deadline. So I will just post it here. Wonder how many points it can get. :)

On second thought, maybe it's a good idea not to send it in.

weekend activity

It was a bad week. Came down with a stomach bug, knocked out for a few days, body felt like being wrung by a giant hand. And I was trying very hard to put the finishing touches to the GPA poems.

Meanwhile, make do with my free-format haiku for haikuworld's July kukai. The theme was "weekend activity" and it managed zero votes. Talking of weekend activity, yeah, I am working on Sunday...

May kukai : of the animal world

It happened. My entry for haikuworld's May Free Format kukai garnered a total of ......... zero votes. The theme was "of the animal world", and I was trying to show how intelligent crows can be. Guess it didn't work out. :D

Oh well, to the next kukai then.

April kukai : Bridge

My entry in haikuworld's April Free Format kukai didn't do too well (or too bad either). 10th out of 18 places, with 9 points. The theme was "Bridge". A bridge too far, perhaps? :)

While waiting for the muse to return......

March kukai : Song

dsnake is surprised and happy. He thinks he's doing something right, because the haiku entry he submitted in haikuworld's March Free-Format kukai came in 5th spot out of 22, with 18 votes. Okay, this is not first place, but when the previous 2 entries weighed in with just 2 votes, you can understand his surprise.

Enjoy! Oh yes, he would like to thank polona for her "show, don't tell" advice. That makes the difference. :)

Dreary

This is my entry for Haikuworld's February kukai in the free format category. The theme was "dreary".

Yes, dreary is my result. One vote again, 17th place out of 18. Guess I'm not cut out for this haiku thing. But hey, March kukai, here I come! And yes, I think the drawing is nicer than the poem. :)

Temperature

i submitted this haiku to haikuworld's January 2007 Kukai (Free Format Entry). Guess it didn't do too well. It shared 19th place with 16 others, with just one vote. Thanks to the person who gave me that vote. And the winning entries are really good. Congrats to the winners!

Hmm, I think the image I drew is nicer than the haiku. :)
