Dreary
This is my entry for Haikuworld's February kukai in the free format category. The theme was "dreary".
Yes, dreary is my result. One vote again, 17th place out of 18. Guess I'm not cut out for this haiku thing. But hey, March kukai, here I come! And yes, I think the drawing is nicer than the poem. :)

Wow......I can hardly image the extent to which some talented people can make such good Illustrations. Is it computer generated or 'MAGIC OF THE PENCIL'.

May have been the subject matter more than the poem. Can't say much on haiku, I definitely have problems writing them.
I really like it -- I'd vote for it. :)
I never put one in those -- I'm too lazy to do it. I would probably come in last, anyway. :)

the haiku is quite good but perhaps dreariness doesn't come across as it should... small things matter when voting in the kukai and the final selection is usually very difficult...
don't give up, you'll make it one day ;)

I love your sketches. I think I will go back to sketching. 20 years since I did that.

that's a good idea, please show us your works, i'm sure they are good too.
i like sketching, it usually don't take up too much of the time, and i think sketches, esp pencil or ink, are perfect for the web. This is not to say that oils or water colours are not suitable. that's just my opinion. :)
