interrupted dream
I am leaving it unedited. I went through it but the mind wasn't working too hard and I decided to leave it as it is.

interrupted dream
at 3 a.m.
i woke up
to raindrops
scattering
into the room
chased by a
wolfhound wind
a sky
red with anger
and
an interrupted dream.

For the past few weeks, I have felt this way..
Good to see you posting again.
thank you, gautami. :)
sometimes, a day in the office can saps the energy out of you. even today, a sunday, I still need to work.
it's good to hear from you. :)
great work! glad you brought it out. :)
thank you, Andrew!
it's great to hear from you.:)
I love this, and yes I've been woken that way too...such a beautiful natural way you have...hope you're enjoying your intermission ;)
Hi Lorraine,
thanks for visiting and leaving your comments. i guess this description of a tropical storm turns out quite well. :)
i like intermissions. :D
oh oh
did you remember the dream?
:D
nope. i was too busy closing the windows and getting mad. :)
Hi!
I remember this one vividly, like that red sky image. Still love these lines "wolfhound wind"/a sky/ red with anger. Perfect title and last line of "interrupted dream."
Lynne,
thanks for the comment!
i remembered one of the best images i have seen on the net was one of your photos of a flaming sky from your old blog. :)
Thank you, DSnake. I love the intensity of those skies. If it's the one I'm thinking you're thinking of, do you happen to recall if I mentioned that it is in the Permanent Collection of Healing Art at a Hospital Center for Adolescents?
I've taken many sky photographs.
Was this a red sky called something like "Sky's Afire" Or "Awesome Sunrise?" (I must get my photos posted again in the blog photo album. I should have learned how to export blog material, but I did save all of my posts and images, so I can repost them.)
yes, Lynne, you have taken many photographs of skies (and trees), and it is these photos, and your paintings, that keep me coming back to your blog (though you have changed it's name and layouts many times. :) )
I think your photo that i mentioned was "Sky's Afire". I am not sure if it's in the Permanent Collection Of Healing Art. It was a picture of a bare tree with just its branches against a background of a red, blazing sky. It was such a powerful and intense shot, that it's hard to forget. Also, the words that accompanied the photo, a poignant write about post 9/11 america, was just so appropriate.
I remember this, one of my favorites among your NAPOWRIMO pieces. ;) Glad to read the line "raindrops scattering into the room" again. Cheers.
S.L., great to hear from you again. :) I have not been updating my blog, or visiting lately, because of work.
Yes, you have commented on this piece before. Thanks again!
Hi Dsnake,
I always enjoy your visits and thank you for these compliments.I just realized that I forgot to come back to your blog to see if you answered which photo you liked so much. (It is now Oct. and I thought of it for some reason- my artistic mind is not logical. :).
Thank you for your vivid recall with the accompanying post. I know exactly which photo now. Yes, that series of photos was shot the same morning. This feedback is always of interest to me from any person interested in art. Thanks again! (I do have a new blog up for the past few weeks with lots of material and it's here to stay. It's for my writing and photography. I need to fix my other blog that is exclusively for art.
Please drop by for a friendly visit to my writing & photography blog.
Hi Gel
artists are always not logical :)
i will always remember that post. first, the photo was stunning. secondly, the words that accompanied it, touching, and angry but not hysterical.
i am very busy with work at the moment, but i hope to go blog visiting again soon. :)
Hi- How are you? I found this old comment because I googled my name with "poet". I wondered if you are on facebook? I'm not writing much on blogs anymore, but that may change. I have published writings in this past year. I had not submitted any writings in 20 years or more. All have been published so far!
Best to you and your family.
Gel
hi, is that really you, Gel , the green eye lady? how have you been? it's been ages since we last communicated. i am doing okay, still working, as the things are pretty expensive over here.
Are you still painting? as you can see, i am still blogging, and i am mainly sharing the works at this site called Poets United. maybe you can share your works over there too, if you decide to write again. they are a bunch of nice folks.
i am on fb but i seldom log in nowadays. if you have published something, do let me know. i would really like to read what you write. :)
Yes, it is really me! I'm delighted that you kept the same blog address so I could find you. Thank you for the recommendation for that Poets site. I'll look for you on FB and you can see those green eyes. :) {I am not putting my fb site info here for privacy reasons.}. -Gel
hey Gel, glad to hear from you again! yes, if you are still writing, perhaps you can share your works at the Poets United site.
i am off FB recently due to some privacy issues, but may reactivate it back some time in the future. hope to contact you then! :)
