sijo - The Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse : Death

and no words escape of your mouth?

lower thyself into the stygian waters.

no one sees me and expects to return,
take this as a new journey.

Such a smooth Horseman, this one. One can hope that the end will be this tranquil, even when unexpected.

This was a wonderful series.

I like that way of looking at it – and indeed, who could disagree?
I've enjoyed this series very much, and also the images you generated to illustrate it – particularly this one. (In a poem many years ago, I personified death as 'My lady Death'.)

Rosemary,

Thank you! Glad you enjoyed the series.
In most literature, the Grim Reaper is always personified as male.

Rajani,

Thank you!
Well, this series is ended... :)

In the Bible Death was "he" but in some languages it's a feminine noun...I had a nightmare about Lady Death once.
