Please
Address all blows to the air.
We are to be barely mentioned if at all in the moon’s memoirs.

This is a prompt from the Bibliomamcy Oracle. It can work in frustrating ways.

please
please, let us not talk about
what the numbers we should have
scratched on the betting slip
how the other plans didn't pan out
if there are plans in the first place.
just be glad that we are
still drinking beer
and binge surfing tv

Interesting read. I suspect the best and safest blows are the ones that hit the air.
Past a certain point dwelling on what we didn't do isn't very helpful. And sometimes a little good beer isn't a bad thing to start the forgetting process and toast to making better mistakes in the future.
Another year...getting older, but not old: let's have whatever fun we can!
Indeed yes! That's very much to be glad about. (Though you can have the beer; I'll go for wine.)
I might have commented three times, though it seemed the first two didn't go through. Just delete if necessary.
Nice! I love the succinct nature of these little jewels. Indeed, the moon doesn't care about us but I'm happy to still be drinking beer and bingeing something on the telly!!
Penelope,
Thank you.
Yes , the best ones are those that don't make contact. :)
Rommy,
Thank you.
A little background on this poem. There is a betting shop near my place, and i often overhear punters bitching about what numbers they should or shouldn't have bought for their numbers lottery. The creative process can work in strange ways with the above prompt. :)
Priscilla.
I like that. Getting older, but not old.
That's why i am spending more time on instagram :D
Rosemary,
Wine is great! Though I am into soju or sake now. :)
I have comment moderation on, so the comments only appear after I have read them. But blogger should still gives you a prompt that it is awaiting moderation. But yes, sometimes, it doesn't.
Yvonne,
Thank you!
Sometimes we are just glad for these little pleasures. :)
Hooray for activities such as those you mention ... I agree be thankful for what you have, no matter how seemingly small. A cold beer as the clock strikes midnight sounds great!!!!!
Thank you, Helen!
Yes, be thankful for the small things too. :)
Here's to fun, and an ice cold beer!
Ah, yes!! :)
To be grateful for the choices we can still make, and not sour about the ones already gone, is as healthy as we can get these days.
I'll raise a beer to that. :)
