a poem with no last vowel

a poem with no last vowel
i told her i wanted to write a poem with no last vowel.
what's a last vowel? she asked.
i pointed a finger at her.
she pointed at her chest, eyebrows knitted.
took a swig of bacardi from a whisky glass.
loved the sharp clink of crystal, so melodic.
she in her lingerie, prone on the bed was so distracting.
finished the poem?, she asked.
what was she hinting?
i pointed a finger at her, shook my head.
took another long hit from the whisky glass.
perhaps this was not a good time to write poetry.

LOL, I see what u did there. But I also got a feeling of how hard it is to say we are 100% letting go of something while still having it right in front of us all the time.
you
you
you
scallywag:)
I love the cleverness of this piece, Lee San! I have to admit that I squealed when the speaker pointed at her chest, bringing the u into the poem without truly using it. And the closing made me chuckle--so very true.
Hahaha! Thank you for the first hearty LOL of my day. Also, it's a clever example of the u-less poem, an accomplished piece of versification AND storytelling.
There is a time and place for everything, you or 'U' chose the wrong time! However it got a laugh from me.
Something different cheong..liked the style too
What's the next challenge? :)
Rommy,

Magaly,
haha, glad you like that part about the u without saying it. π
Rosemary,
not sure whether it was inspired or what. wrote that in one sitting, checked through for 'U's (tossed out a couple) and that was it.
Robin,
the wrong time it is! πΆ
Ashok,
thank you!
glad you noticed the style.
the next challenge? there's still A, I and O. π¬
Ha ha! I pointed my own finger. The E is the only letter that gets worn off my keyboard. Did you know that some languages have no vowels and that they are inferred by the text? Like Hebrew originally.
Thank you, Colleen!
yeah, i just looked at my own keyboard and the E is pretty worn out.
i thought all languages should have some vowels, i really learned something today. :)
LOL this is absolutely naughty and nice
Thanks for dropping by my sumie Sunday
