Remembering

A visit to a cemetery inspired this.

Plumeria obtusa

Remembering

calm
among the plumeria
and palms

the rows of photographs
on stone slabs
with names carved in rock

each gaze
every face
impassive on marble
etched in time

and do they see
the living that come
in the sunshine, the rain
burning offerings?

remembering.

floots, polona and pat,
thank you, guys!
couldn't think of anything to write the whole week, so it has to be a brief one! managed to do a sketch of a frangipanni flower too.

glad you guys like it. :)

hello gel,
thanks for visiting!
i have been drawing and painting since i was a kid. no formal training though. i used to do oils and poster colours. hardly use those mediums now, more into pencils and ink (and digital stuff). :)

hey orso,
it's great to see you again. you must be busy with your studies and work. i remember you for your edgy and honest writing. :)
