getting out

getting out
you cringe and seethe
in this dark room
a room with no windows
while just outside
there is sunlight
and warmth and laughter.
you can save yourself
and all you need to do
is just to open the door.

If only you can remember how, or even that there is a door.
Rosemary,
Thank you!
You have a point there. And the room is dark.
I've been there, especially during this %$@* pandemic. I keep reminding myself that looking for the door is part of the process.
Door to so many new possibilities.....thank you for the hope!
Oh, it always SEEMS so simple, doesn't it?
Rommy,
i think most of us have been there, and able to open the door. :)
Vandana,
Thank you for visiting. and thank you for sharing the hope. :)
Ron.
ah yes, sometimes it's just right in front of our face.
Opening that door can be so difficult (and intimidating). But once we do open it, the new possibilities are often worth the trouble...
I really like this one.
Oh, wow. I needed that, a metaphor and a truth. Heading outdoors now.
Sometimes opening the door takes too much effort...
Indeed. Nice one
Thanks for dropping by my blog today
Much❤love
Humans are "funny" this way. Self-imposed loneliness.
well said, sometimes fear can keep us paralyzed, even opening a door can seem impossible... i get it.
Self imposed captivity most often takes outside help in getting free.
..
Magaly,
yes, the new possibilities are often worth it.
Colleen,
😄
Thank you!
Magical Mystical Teacher,
but it will be worth the effort. :)
Thank you!
Gillena,
Thank you! :)
Margaret,
Indeed they are, for whatever reason.
Thanks for the visit. :)
Phillip,
fear is a dangerous adversary.
Thank you.
Jim,
Thank you!
i guess in most cases, it requires outside help.
Yes ... fling wide open, wide open ... the door. Fear is a disabling emotion. Take precautions, let go, be safe. Be you.
Helen,
Thank you!
open wide the door!
Awesome post
Thank you, Rajani! :)
