father's day a blue bear
the card by my daughter
father's day a blue bear
so what
if the bear
looks a lot like
a doughy swamp thing
is blue
and the paper smudged
fingerprints
trapped by glue
and the text
the words
each letter marching
on a beat of its own
squashed
misaligned in parts
spelled
HAp p y FA THER' s D Ay
so what
as my eyes start
to tear
my heart gurgles
a bubbling brook
as that little six year old girl
smiles
extends the card
with both hands
those proud eyes, burning
that said
i made this card
specially
for you
for daddy.

Nice one Cheon Lee san
Happy Sunday
Much love...
Thank you, Gillena! :)
This is very sweet.
This is so lovely... such a letter must be a true treasure.
There is no other card better than one created with love....and your love expressed here is great as well! Beautiful!!
This one pulls at the heartstrings.......the thought of that proud, beaming little girl who made a card for her daddy. Loved this, Lee San.
These are both SO very touching! Very sensitive writing...made my heart feel good.
Sad and beautiful at the same time...
Great "photograph" of our times.
