Poets' Rally Week 53 Perfect Poet Award
I am posting a poem from my NaPoWriMo exercise this year, in accepting the award. I hope you will enjoy it. :)
coffeeshop, one morning in march 2011
the cleaner
rubs my table
with a greasy rag.
i do not know
where to rest
my cup of tea.
he looks at me
and smiles.
i thank him.

This acceptance poem is truly awesome. That rag cleans all the tables, spreading germs all over equally! (I bet people obsessed about clean would be truly horrified!) :D Yet you know the guy is working the best he can. Simple write, filled with appreciation for another person. Really like that.
:P
hahaha! i like that, spreading germs all over equally! i think this is quite a common sight at our eateries, especially those that are heavily patronised. i do empathise with these people, what they are doing is quite a thankless job.
i am glad that you can relate to it, and see the humour in this piece. (not sure humour is the right word, maybe pathos, but anyway..) :)
Amazing write...Brilliantly presented ones...Thanks for share friend..
well deserved award, thanks.
join poets rally week 54 if you did not yet, Happy Friday.
