bad poem
The work in the office is draining the creative energies. Hardly have time to write anything, or go blog visiting. Please make do with this attempt I cobble together last night.

bad poem
actually,
i am trying
to write
a good poem
but ..
i have just
switched off
the games console
and the words
the words
just hang
at the edge
of the tongue.
it is now 12:46 a.m.
according to
my trusty cell phone.
the aircon is
droning away,
i have no choice,
i have closed
the windows,
otherwise
those damn
fruit flies
will come.
it is a
bad poem, no?
please, but two days
of churning reports
at work
is not healthy
for poetry.

Kind of cool to write a poem about writing a bad poem. It's certainly original.
Not that I think it's bad at all. I like the clarity of the language and the little details here. The ending actually made me chuckle (I know how you feel, trust me :)).
Don't you think it's sometimes just nice to write whatever it is that is on one's mind? I think I'm going to do that now, thanks for the inspiration :)

yes, for this piece, i just write whatever came to mind, with little editing, just checks for typos. i thought it might not be a good one, hence the title. : )
maybe it's easier to write something in the middle of the night. :)
i think it reflects the mood quite well :)
