my coffee will surely cost more

my coffee will surely cost more
in the grey dawn
walking across an empty parking lot
my face has taken on
the colour of a storm.
it used to be
i wear your red and white on my heart
and i had loved you
but i am not too sure any more.
a plastic bag tumbles
in the early morning wind like a useless promise
in two weeks my coffee
will surely cost more.

liz,
i wrote this two weeks before the hike, and yes, most things went up.the supermarts, my tea, my morning beehoon. good thing i cut down on the ciggys :/
I'm not sure it's the tax raising we mind so much, as it is the idiots raising the taxes. probably both.
If you have tasted Kluangs Railway Station Coffee, you wont mind if it cost a little more....but it will still be cheaper than Singapore, Happy National Day and Happy Holiday, dear friend!!!
and the retailers who raise prices at the slightest excuse, pat...
kianseng,
thank you!
i am working on National Day, hehe.
about the coffee, i will keep that in mind. :)
I feel your frustration-grrr! especially through that descriptive phrase "my face has taken on the colour of a storm."
gel,
grrrrrr! :)
i like that phrase too. grey, black kind of colors...
well said..!
I am sure I left a comment. Coffee dissolved it?
At Barista, it costs a fortune. And I don't like it much either.
