Somewhere

somewhere

Maybe letting go is hard to do.

A few days ago was my late wife's death anniversary. After a quiet moment with her at a temple, in the presence of the bodhisattva and arhats ,amid the sounds of chirping birds and distant traffic, the words just poured out.

Aw, maybe i'm getting old.

---------------

somewhere

it's been twelve years
you should have been
re-incarnated
and
if you did
you would be
a child
by now

and if i walk past
you
somewhere
in a street
in Redhill
or Tampines
would i
still
recognise you?

and i will
if
you are clutching
a plush bear
&
hypnotised by flowers
then
if you look me
in the eyes
and i see the fire

i will know,
it's you

just to drop a line to you 'cause you have stalking the nightmare as one of your books. i've met harlan ellison...he's a bitter and angry old man. i managed to get myself called a "litterbug fuck" in front of the whole audience. you like philip k. dick, too, right?
