Photo-Poetry Challenge : Photo 4

At first I had no idea what to write for this photo. After some drafts about the sea and surf, I settled for this tanka. A lot of words were thrown away.

Beach

sea waves erasing
our retreating footprints
on a slate of sand

to roll back, surprised, as we
held hands and laughed like children.

I love how u described the motion of the waves and personified its movements in this way. Your words made it really come alive for me in my mind. Lovely!

Hi would you mind sharing which blog platform
you're working with? I'm looking to start my own blog in the near future but I'm having a tough time making a decision between BlogEngine/Wordpress/B2evolution and Drupal.
The reason I ask is because your layout seems different then most blogs and I'm looking for
something completely unique. P.S Sorry for getting
off-topic but I had to ask!

Hi Anon,

I am using Blogger. My main blog 'urban poems' is using their Classic template, but i think new users should use the 'Layout' template. It is much easier and more intuitive to use.

hope this helps. :)
