siblings
It’s the early 70’s, and we siblings just want to have fun too, on Chinese New Year’s Day. But lots of things have gone by since. Bell-bottoms, tie-dyes, fire crackers, and big hair. Especially the hair, there’s not much now. But one thing did not changed, the bond amongst us. Wherever the era.

The prize was a MacBook. I am still using my old battered and bulky laptop.

Sorry you missed out on the Macbook. But you have something even better, which some of us lack – that bond between siblings.
yes, one can buy a Macbook. :)
Beautiful memories and yes such strong bonds, and how lucky you are to have them....loved the haiku too!
I love Rosemary's comment... I love your haiku a lot too... so sweet with the girl reading for her toys
What a lovely moment in time captured - there's nothing better than the bond between siblings - and for the love to be carried on through generations - magical! And hopefully a prize in itself..
Such a wonderful and tender write. The bond between siblings is something that we can cherish our entire lives "no matter what the era." Beautifully penned.
Lots of love,
Sanaa
PS: Don't fret about Macbook, there might be something even better in store for you. :)

Oh, this is wonderful. I olove the photo, and the rfact that the bond remained strong. So lovely.
A bond between siblings is something to celebrate indeed; and I like the picture of your daughter reading to her toys! (Why not?)
Your photo makes me a bit nostalgic for bell bottoms. I really liked that style. Perhaps it will return?
love the image of reading to her toys...
Jae,
yes, nothing's better than that. :)
Sanaa,
thank you! we are always living on hope. :D
Sherry,
nice photo, hey? thank you! :)
Mary,
i used to read to her, and it's priceless to watch your child enjoying the reading. it's only natural she read to her toys. :)
i think fashion has a habit of coming back after a cycle. but bell bottoms. hmm, maybe..
thotpurge,

It is definitely a winner, as is the haiku, as is the daughter.
