urban snapshots in monochrome : chair

Here, we live in an unwrap-and-throw world. Almost everything is disposable.

Here's a chair that has outlived its use....

urban snapshots in monochrome : chair

it leans forlornly
against a greasy wall
a castor gone,
     its fabric worn
soaking in the last rays
       of the evening sun

tomorrow a dumpster
will devour it whole

Thinking about
the great times it had
the chair feels sad...

hi polona,
thank you!

i wrote this with an allusion to human life in general, what will happen to us, when we become old and useless. :)

hey floots,
always great to hear from my favourite Scottish poet! :)

hi gautami tripathy,
thank you for visiting.
every thing has its worth until it become useless. :)

the picture is actually a colour photo but i had it reduced to black/white ( in tune with the monochrome theme). :D

Nice post-processing on the photo!
Life's a circle ain't it? Old age is meant to remind us of humility, that's what i think :)

We use things and then throw them away and then apply the same attitude in our relationship with people, blow thou winter wind...thou art not so unkind!
